Beauty Shortcutips and Kaylee Young are pleased to announce that their blog and website recently celebrated an anniversary. They are focused on providing a variety of tips and reviews on a range of topics related to diet and beauty. Some of the categories include makeup, diet, hair, hands, feet and nails, and product reviews. The blog also describes skin care tips and products. Regular blog posts keep the information on the website fresh and interesting.

Recent beauty tips include articles about the top 10 Dead Sea mud masks, Five Best Japanese Shampoos for Long Lustrous Locks, and the Ten Best Exfoliators for Oily Skin. Dozens of additional product reviews and suggestions are available, with more being added frequently. The website also includes a constantly changing offering of discounts and coupons designed to save money on the products which are available. The discounts at present are related to the upcoming Mother's Day celebration and help to save money on the gifts which mothers will appreciate.

Kaylee Young is the founder of the site. She explains, “This blog focuses on health and beauty issues, by providing ideas, recipes, tutorials, and pieces of advice. Our suggestions help you to live a positive and healthy life with your family. I have been working at a spa services center as a service advisor for a very busy dealership. I have been inspired to share my creative energy and knowledge about nutrition, skin care, and makeup.

She continues, "The tips I have shared in a recent post on the healthy skin are an example of my knowledge and research. There are some natural ways to create your own supplements without spending a fortune on skin products that include a lot of chemicals. Spending money on skin products and makeup doesn't make sense if you can make your skin look beautiful on its own. The key is in detoxification of the body, cleaning the skin from the inside and giving it the right vitamins it needs to look clear and soft. Of course, hydration is one of the most important things for the body to stay healthy, and that includes the skin as well."

Streep, Miranda and Stone are named as Met Gala co-0chairs

Nov 14, 2019

NEW YORK — Next year's Met Gala may be the closest we'll ever come to getting a Miranda Priestly moment at the starry event. Meryl Streep has been named as a co-chair of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. The Oscar-winner played Priestly, a thinly veiled fictional version of Vogue editor Anna Wintour, in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada." Wintour clearly has no hard feelings because she selected Streep as a co-chair along with Lin-Manuel Miranda and fellow Oscar-winner Emma Stone. Designer Nicolas Ghesquiere rounds out the group. The gala's theme is "About Time: Fashion and Duration," which...

Try something new with uncommonly delicious (and ugly) fruit

Nov 14, 2019

As I savor one of my just-picked American persimmons (Diospyros virginiana), I'm reminded how this fruit — and a few other delectable fruits — would never sell. Why not? Because they're ugly! Although the persimmons hung from the branches as handsome, plump, orange orbs up to a few weeks ago, by now they have shriveled and their skins are darkening to brown and black. The texture and flavor have likewise changed. They once were like dried apricots that have been plumped up in water and then dipped in honey with a dash of spice. Now, they've become mushier, with some...

3-2-1-Cookoff! Astronauts to bake cookies with new test oven

Nov 14, 2019

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — Forget reheated, freeze-dried space grub. Astronauts are about to get a new test oven for baking chocolate chip cookies from scratch. The next delivery to the International Space Station — scheduled for liftoff this weekend — includes the Zero G Oven. Chocolate chip cookie dough is already up there, waiting to pop into this small electric oven designed for zero gravity. Sample cookies baked just this week are also launching from Virginia on Northrop Grumman's Cygnus capsule, for the six station astronauts. The experiment explores the possibility of making freshly baked items for space travelers. With...

New Sept. 11 exhibit stages the hunt for Osama bin Laden

Nov 14, 2019

NEW YORK — Declassified U.S. government documents and artifacts will be part of a new exhibit about the decade-long search for Osama bin Laden at the site of the New York terrorist attack he masterminded. "Revealed: The Hunt for Bin Laden" opens Nov. 15 at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, a multimedia account of the mission that ended with bin Laden's death in Pakistan in 2011. With direct access to the operatives who led America's feverish post-9/11 hunt for the top terrorist, the exhibit presents a sort of whodunit drama with graphics, videos and the voices of the...

Road tripping Thailand: Weekend getaways to beat the crowds

Nov 14, 2019

BANGKOK — Thailand's southern beaches lure travelers with their turquoise water and dramatic limestone cliffs, but there's more to explore in the Southeast Asian country that's one of the world's most popular destinations. For a Thai road less traveled, try one of these getaways outside Bangkok, far from the overly Instagrammed backpacker hotspots or the party scene of Phuket or Pattaya. ___ BAN KRUT FOR THE BEACH BUM In laid-back Ban Krut, travelers will find one of the cleanest and quietest stretches of white sand within driving distance of the capital, Bangkok. This sleepy seaside community, known mostly by locals,...
