Las Vegas, Nevada Dec 8, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - KANAVI MOBILITY, a South Korean automotive supplier producing an array of automotive components used in automotive will be participating at the CES 2023 for the seventh consecutive year. The supplier will be showcasing its latest development of LiDAR sensors at the Las Vegas Convention Center, West Hall - booth #5767.
KANAVI MOBILITY will showcase its advanced VL-R16 LiDAR sensor which is a 3D 16-channel scanning unit suitable for autonomous driving levels 2 and 3. In addition, the supplier will also reveal their newly developed 2-channel LiDAR for Smart City Pedestrian Safety as well as other 1-channel LiDAR sensors for versatile industrial-specific usage. KANAVI MOBILITY's new LiDAR scanning sensors have achieved an average of a 26% decrease in costs thanks to local procurement of parts and key components such as a brushless direct current motor (BLDC), a laser diode (LD) and avalanche photodiode (APD). Such efforts have enabled LiDAR sensors to be more affordable to integrate into other LiDAR products and applications.
"Our continuous development of advanced LiDAR sensors shows our philosophy that puts the vehicle occupants and pedestrian safety first," said CEO Jeremy Chong, under whose leadership KANAVI MOBILITY has been growing since 2001. In order to achieve such deployment of ADAS technologies, KANAVI MOBILITY has invested over 4 billion KRW in order to mass produce LiDAR sensors through the SMT line with an annual production capacity of over 1.8M units.
KANAVI MOBILITY is currently the supplier of Driving Video Recorders (DVR) to numerous automotive OEMs and is also the parent company of VUGERA, one of the largest aftermarket dash cam brands in the South Korean market which recently showcased their 2-channel Quad-HD DVR and 7500mAh LiFePO4 DVR battery at the SEMA Show.
