Capitol City Produce Unveils New Fleet to Support Continued Growth

Jun 8, 2020

BATON ROUGE, La. - June 8, 2020 - (Newswire.com)

Capitol City Produce, a family-owned regional produce distributor, is excited to announce the launch of its new re-designed fleet of 66 refrigerated commercial delivery trucks. Each truck is uniquely designed with imagery of fresh produce in vibrant, high-resolution custom photography. The trucks are equipped with the newest technology to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle, to ensure on-time deliveries to customers and to ensure that the produce remains fresher longer.

The trucks recently began hitting the streets and highways of the Gulf Coast with beautiful imagery of the company’s vast fresh produce offerings, paired with products from their expansion into other non-produce product lines. The trucks include a new tagline “Always fresh. Always easy.” Paul Ferachi, the Owner and CEO of Capitol City Produce explains, “Our customers have a fast-paced, busy and often unpredictable environment. So, they are looking for ways to simplify their workplace and their lives wherever they can. We have focused on making it incredibly easy for our customers to consistently have the freshest produce without complication, distraction or worry.”

Darin Arceneaux, President, added “We recently looked at everything from ordering, to delivery, to payment and saw opportunities along the whole customer experience chain to make it easier. Online ordering is now more convenient with helpful suggestions for product alternatives, precise delivery time notifications are texted from new 'Where’s My Truck?' technology and paying the bill is easier with enhanced online bill pay features and payment options. Also, our product line extensions make it easier for customers to reduce inventory and free up storage space by getting more non-produce items delivered with the same frequency as their produce deliveries. The 'Always fresh. Always easy.' tagline signifies a new level of commitment to quality - including the quality of our customers’ work life.”

Also, the back of each truck has a reminder that the company offers more than fresh produce with slogans like “From Eggplant to Eggs” and “From Dragon Fruit to Dairy”. Extended product lines now include milk, eggs, cheese, sour cream, bakery, desserts, purees, pastas, oils, frozen vegetables and helpful labor-saving products such as pre-diced, sliced, chopped, peeled and shredded items.

Ferachi stated, "Lastly, we’ve also launched a microsite at AlwaysFreshAlwaysEasy.com that supports our promise to our current customers as well as introduces our brand to new audiences as we continue to expand regionally across the Gulf South.”

How Asian Film Awards Academy’s filmmaking camp is grooming a new generation of directors

Far removed from the sweeping historical epics and sleek commercial blockbusters that have long defined the region’s cinematic exports, a quieter evolution is unfolding across Asian cinema. An emerging cohort of storytellers is eschewing grand spectacles to navigate the intimate, the unspoken and the marginalised. In doing so, these young directors are carving out a new path – one they view as more grounded and representative of contemporary life. Nadia Chui and Law Yik-man from Hong Kong, Bo...
