With the addition of these options, customers can work from a traditional saddle shoe outline to create a customized end product with the heel, toe shape, outer finish, sole and even laces that meet their personal style preferences.
The Robert August line of made-to-order casual and dress shoes come in over 24 choices made of leather, luxe suede, and Croco embossed calf leather. All shoes, whether designed by the customer or ready-made, are handcrafted using the Goodyear Welting process, the oldest and most durable method of shoemaking.

For those choosing to design their own saddle shoe, the process begins with the desired finish. Customers can choose from a standard finish, hand patina, or the ultra-luxe shell cordovan finish.
