Kitchener company brings season ticketing, reserved seating and box office tools to theatres and community venues with published pricing
Kitchener, Canada, October 8, 2026 -- Eventist has launched a venue management product with published pricing.
The Canadian event ticketing company has extended its platform into venue management for theatres, performing arts venues and community halls, covering season ticketing, subscriber renewals, reserved seating and box office operations. Single tickets are priced at $0.85 CAD each, and season packages are billed at 0.5% to 1.9% of the amount charged, with no monthly subscription, no setup fee and no per-seat licence. Card processing fees are additional.
The second argument is scope. Eventist's position is that ticketing software should run the building rather than the transaction. A venue's work is not filling one night; it is rebuilding the programme every year, keeping subscribers in the same seats, chasing renewals, renting the room to outside producers, and opening the doors on time. The launch covers seasons built once as a block of dates that regenerate the following year, season seats held across every performance, renewals with right of first refusal, upgrades and exchanges, instalment billing with automatic retries, a patron portal, offline scanning across multiple doors, and card payments at the door for walk-up admissions.
Card processing runs through the organizer's own payment processor account, so money reaches the venue as tickets are purchased rather than being held until after the event. Subscriber and attendee lists stay exportable by the venue at any time.
"A venue with a season is running a subscription business that happens to have seats in it," said Ciara Azam, Founder and CEO of Eventist. "Nobody should need a quote and a discovery call to find out what that costs. We publish the number, it is a few cents a ticket, and there is no licence. We could build the engine quickly because we already had it — it is the same scheduling and membership engine that runs a dance studio's terms, just packaged for a season."
The venue product runs on the same platform Eventist already provides for festivals, conferences and studios. Festival organizers use it for multi-day passes, site maps, vendor booths and volunteer scheduling.
Eventist has served event organizers since 2021 and is based in Kitchener, Ontario. The company is bootstrapped and woman-founded.
