Dr. Anthony Mobasser, A.K.A. the Celebrity Dentist, has been awarded the Los Angeles Best Dentist Award. Additionally, he has begun seeing patients again for cosmetic dentistry procedures. In this time, a majority of his patients have wanted ten specific operations.
The most common procedure has been teeth whitening or teeth bleaching. For many patients, this is foundational, meant to be followed up by another cosmetic dental treatment. The next procedure many opt for is “cosmetic smile contouring.” This procedure shapes the teeth, with the aim of better honing the patient’s smile. This can get a patient the “Celebrity Smile.”
Several of Dr. Mobasser’s patients choose porcelain veneers. These can come in the form of “Lumineers” (which are considered to be “no-prep veneers”) as well as dental veneers and what are best known as “thin veneers.”
Different patients have chosen particular types of porcelain to meet their needs. Some opt for translucent “eMax veneers,” while others prefer a white metal called “Zirconia” to get the ultimate white. Still, others prefer “Feldspathic veneers” for the best aesthetic results. A combination of all three has also proven popular depending on the bite and occlusion for function. Dr. Mobasser, and his experienced master ceramist, can make these veneers as thin as .3 millimeters.
Other common procedures include dental implants for replacing teeth, dental bridges to replace missing teeth without surgery, and dental bonding to correct tooth gaps, shape, and color. Additionally, porcelain crowns can restore strength and function, while a Smile makeover will treat the areas where smiles are visible, usually the top ten teeth.
For those who have “worn out teeth,” or very old dentistry, needing aesthetics and function, Dr. Mobasser often prescribes full mouth dental reconstruction or Rehabilitation Dentistry.
“So many have been cooped up at home during the last few months. Now that more places are opening up, it’s natural to want to look your very best. We’re very grateful to have had so many come through and get the cosmetic dentistry procedures they were waiting for,” says Dr. Mobasser.
To recap, the top ten procedures that Dr. Mobasser has seen are:
Teeth whitening or bleaching
Cosmetic smile contouring
Lumineers
Porcelain veneers
Dental implants
Porcelain bridges
Tooth bonding
Porcelain Crowns
Smile Makeover
Full Mouth Dental Reconstruction
Dr. Mobasser’s cosmetic dentistry in Los Angeles utilizes all ADA approved protocols for re-opening safely.
