Jitters’ Java and Bloodhound Hemp Farms launch new hemp and hemp products for coffee drinkers and dog owners in Durango, Colorado.

Jitters’ Java a local drive-through favorite featuring Kaladi coffee is now offering human-grade full spectrum hemp extract tinctures which can be added to their wide variety of coffee and other specialty drinks. This all-natural active hemp extract for people (and pets) contains no additives or chemicals and is naturally-grown without the use of fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides.

Aimee Beauregard, the owner of Jitters’ Java, serves the community of Durango and is a believer in that ancient adage, we are what we eat. “ I truly enjoy sharing my love for coffee and good eats and I love being creative. Cammy and I have been friends for nearly 20 years and it has been exciting and fun working on this coffee/CBD collaboration together. We are working on a pet-friendly menu too.”

Cammy Donnen, founder of Bloodhound Hemp Farms, LLC, turned a lifetime passion for pets into a career including Vice President of the Delta County Humane Society, Director of Animal Service and Protection for the Delta County Animal Shelter and General Manager of Natural Horseman Saddles. “My love for animals and all critters started as far back as a child. I was always sneaking some sort of animal into the house; bugs, frogs, lizards and of course any and every stray dog or cat I found. Volunteered at the animal shelter, I worked at a pet store and grooming shops through my teens.” Cammy continues, “Bloodhound Hemp Farms allows me to help pets and people with all-natural alternatives to pharmaceuticals. I’m very excited to work with Jitter’s Java on new products and services as the businesses grow.

With the passage of the Agricultural Improvement Act, also known as the 2018 US Farm Bill, hemp products are finding new avenues to reach an eager and rapidly growing demand for CBD products. According to BDS Analytics.CBD’s overall market value in the US is anticipated to reach 20 billion in sales by 2024.

CHTA MARKS WORLD TOURISM DAY BY ADVANCING PRACTICAL AI ADOPTION ACROSS CARIBBEAN HOSPITALITY

This year’s World Tourism Day on September 27 carries the theme “Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism,” framing AI as the industry’s next major transformation and asking how it can support smarter decision-making, stronger skills, and better-managed destinations. For the Caribbean, the opportunity is not technology for technology’s sake, but using AI in ways that strengthen competitiveness, improve productivity, support the workforce and enhance the distinctive experiences at the heart of the Caribbean hospitality and tourism industry.

Loved Heart of the Beast? 10 of the best dog movies where the canine takes the lead

Few cinematic stories are as life-affirming or tug as effectively at our heartstrings as those exploring the bond between humans and dogs. The unwavering loyalty and adoration of a faithful pup can melt even the hardest of hearts, making it little wonder that filmmakers continually return to the subject. This week sees the release of David Ayer’s Heart of the Beast, starring Brad Pitt as a retired US Special Forces officer stranded in the Alaskan wilderness alongside his loyal dog, Odin –...

Don’t let AI take over our human creative expression

More than three years ago, I articulated concerns regarding the existential threat of artificial intelligence in a piece entitled “How Hong Kong can play a role in preventing AI Armageddon”. There is an increasing number of articles about exactly this. Here I concentrate on a more insidious encroachment on our humanity – how AI is capturing our creative expression and replacing us in a way that is making it harder to discern what is creatively human. As a scientist, my inclination is to filter...

How Chinese first lady Peng Liyuan is a symbol of China’s fashion soft power

Chinese first lady Peng Liyuan has long been a symbol of China’s fashion soft power at high-profile global summits as she accompanies President Xi Jinping. She has eschewed Western luxury labels and logos in favour of chic local brands and modern Chinese styles – a well-tailored qipao, say, or elegant scarves and coats in formal yet feminine colours. Case in point: the outfit she wore as she stepped off the plane for the much-anticipated Xi-Trump meeting in the US on Wednesday. Her grey dress,...
