Get to know Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Gaurav Aggarwala, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.

New York City, New York Jan 24, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - An exceptional interventional cardiologist, Dr. Aggarwala founded Pulse Healthcare System in 2019, establishing 8 clinics and a state-of-the-art Surgical Center and Wound Care Center to deliver quality outcomes and access to excellent care for the communities surrounding Houston.

Deeply committed to helping those in need, he has a passion for preventive medicine. His holistic approach and outstanding bedside manner make him a pleasure to see.

Pulse Healthcare System seeks to change the way that multi-specialty medicine is delivered. They believe that a meaningful one-on-one relationship with their patients is at the core of every successful outcome.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Aggarwala graduated from the John P. and Kathrine G. McGovern Medical School in 2001, before completing his residency at the UT Southwestern Medical Center, and his fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He later earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg Schools of Management at Northwestern University.

Recognized as a Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), the doctor is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

In addition to his work at Pulse Healthcare System, Dr. Aggarwala is the Founder of AchyLegs, LLC, specializing in coronary angiography and revascularization, peripheral vascular disease, and limb salvage. He is an experienced operator who treats venous disease, including extraction of acute deep venous thrombosis, and treats chronic venous insufficiency to help wound healing.

Interventional cardiology is a non-surgical option that uses a small, flexible tube called a catheter to repair damaged or weakened vessels, narrowed arteries, or other affected parts of the heart structure. An interventional cardiologist is a cardiologist with one to two years of additional education and training in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease as well as congenital (present at birth) and structural heart conditions through catheter-based procedures, such as angioplasty and stenting.

Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Aggarwala has been the recipient of the Patients' Choice Award (2016, 2015, 2014, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008), Patients' Choice 5th Anniversary Award (2012), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2016, 2015, 2014, 2012, 2011, 2010), and On-Time Doctor Award (2016, 2014).
