Global Keg is proud to launch the SmartPallet™ a rentable, trackable, recycled heavy duty plastic pallet engineered specifically for the beer industry.

Florida, United States - June 4, 2019 / / —
Moving kegs is a fundamental part of the beer industry but so often wooden pallets cause trouble for breweries and distributors alike. Wood tends to shed shards and can even jam up automated machinery, a problem which slows everything down and can lead to serious damage if a keg moves or falls.
This is why Global Keg Founder and CEO, Bobby “Bob” Moore, known in the industry as “The Pallet King,” is proud to launch the SmartPallet™. The beer industry has long required a suitable alternative to the wooden pallet and the SmartPallet™ finally provides a viable solution that is cost-effective and adds real lasting value to the industry.
Using the same asset-pooling model and technology as Global Keg’s SmartKeg™, the SmartPallet™ can be produced at scale, bringing down the costs and passing the savings on to businesses. This system eliminates any supply chain inconsistencies. Made using durable and lightweight recycled plastic, the pallets are trackable and maximize supply chain efficiency and sustainability. The RFID system removes the risk of loss or theft and transfers the asset liability to Global Keg, not the brewers, distributors or importers themselves.
The SmartPallet™ is engineered with the beer industry in mind. High-friction strips are an ideal solution to prevent the movement of kegs while they are being moved and transported and the materials are contamination-free too. The pallets are designed to ensure forklift stability and improve safety standards for beer industry workers.
Compared to standard wooden pallets, the SmartPallet™ is the obvious choice for 3 key reasons:
1. SmartPallets are more durable and last 50x longer than wood pallets.
2. The shard-free plastic pallets are competitively priced.
3. The SmartPallet™ is lighter in weight making it easier to transport.
Each SmartPallet™ is colored international orange for easy identification and is uniform in size. The materials used mean that the pallets are 100% recyclable at the end of its lifetime.
The SmartPallet™ is available for rent anywhere in the world, just like Global Keg's keg rentals, and will soon be launched in Europe.

A New York store named Art of Play has become the centre of a feud with Kelly Clarkson after the singer went on X and alleged she was treated as if she couldn’t afford the shop’s items. “Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me. Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale,” Clarkson wrote on...
One might not expect British fashion designer Kim Jones, a figure synonymous with modern luxury, to highlight reptiles as one of his earliest memories of Hong Kong. “I love Hong Kong, the weird side of it and the fact that there are king cobras that live here, and different snakes and the sort of things which most people probably get terrified of,” the 53-year-old says.
