Get to know Diagnostic Radiologist Dr. Harold Joe Dickerson, who serves patients in Dallas, Texas.
New York City, New York May 25, 2023 (Issuewire.com) - Dr. Dickerson is a highly-skilled and experienced diagnostic radiologist who has been a part of American Radiology Associates in Dallas, Texas since 1980.
A fully academic radiology group, American Radiology Associates offers trained, sub-specialized imaging expertise to physicians and hospitals worldwide. It is very unique for a radiology group to have a breadth of practice that encompasses research, teaching, and subspecialized and general radiology, all within one integrated group structure. This allows the group to provide cutting-edge, subspecialized services to patients across Texas, with the same distinctive care that one might receive at a major teaching medical center or medical school.
After graduating with his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Dr. Dickerson went on to perform his internship and residency in diagnostic radiology at John Peter Smith Hospital.
As a testament to his continued education, the doctor has been recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
Diagnostic radiology is a medical specialization that involves undertaking a range of imaging procedures to obtain images of the inside of the body. The diagnostic radiologist then carefully interprets these images to diagnose illness and injury.
