A 2014 graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine, Dr. Porter went on to complete a pain medicine management and rehabilitation assistantship from 2014 until 2015. He then performed a postdoctoral fellowship in anesthesia critical care research with the University of Pennsylvania Health System in 2016, and a residency in family medicine at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in 2019.
A member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.
Since January 2022, Dr. Porter has been serving as the Director of a Regenerative Medicine Clinic. He is also affiliated with Longview Regional Medical Center.
Pain management is a branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach to easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with chronic pain.
