Relevance Behavioral Health is proud to be adding ketamine therapy to both their inpatient and outpatient programs, and to be offering this unique modality to those people who have struggled to gain control over their mental health issues through conventional treatment methods like medicines.
For their ketamine therapy program, Relevance is using Spravato®. The active ingredient in this name-brand nasal spray medication is esketamine, which is derived from ketamine, and it is designed to immediately increase glutamate levels in the brain. Under clinical study, Spravato®, like other esketamine products, has shown that it can, as Relevance explains: “increase the number of neurotransmitters, or chemical messengers, the brain has access to, therefore facilitating better communication between brain cells and increasing mood and cognitive function.”
Relevance Behavioral Health believes ketamine can offer substantial help to people suffering from mental health disorders like treatment-resistant depression and often works as a kind of chemical reset for the brain.
By making this therapy part of the multiple treatment modalities they offer, they believe they can make full use of the benefits of esketamine, taking this 'reset' as an opportunity to work through all underlying mental health and trauma issues, and to tackle any substance abuse issues.
In both their inpatient and outpatient care models, Relevance Behavioral Health delivers a personalized approach and a high level of care that focuses on both traditional psychological counseling and holistic wellness.
A spokesperson for the mental health and rehab center said, “Relevance is rooted in an authentic, multiple pathway philosophy—attached to an award-winning addiction and mental health rehab in New Jersey—that ensures long term, affordable care. Our state-of-the-art facilities, program modalities, and therapeutic treatments are fully accredited and offer comfort and safety to clients of all demographic backgrounds.”
Because ketamine should always be delivered safely under medical supervision, Relevance Behavioral Health encourages interested individuals to speak to their licensed clinical team to see if ketamine therapy might be right for them.

How an architect is using art and technology to preserve Toronto Chinatown’s history
Opened in the 1950s, Sai Woo was a two-storey restaurant in Toronto’s Chinatown, with a traditional Chinese banquet hall on the upper floor.
