About All Aboard Arizona:
All Aboard Arizona (AAAz) an Arizona-based 501c3 non-profit, advocates for passenger rail services as an integral part of long-distance, regional, and local transportation systems. We were the first to propose light rail service between downtown Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa, now a reality. We were early advocates of commuter rail service for the Phoenix area, as well as regional service between Phoenix and Tucson. These are now being seriously studied by state and local officials and agencies. We have long advocated daily Amtrak service through Southern Arizona and our efforts have assured us a seat at the table. In the past, the question was: "Will there be passenger rail?" Now that others - cities, elected officials, and business leaders - have joined in support of passenger rail service, we can focus on "What type(s) of passenger rail will exist?" and "Where will trains run?" Membership in All Aboard Arizona is open to all interested in public transportation, climate change, smart growth, and rural/urban planning.

In doing so, these young directors are carving out a new path – one they view as more grounded and representative of contemporary life. Nadia Chui and Law Yik-man from Hong Kong, Bo...

One of the familiar faces that popped up was Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, who was joined by his wife, Kelly Stafford. The two weren’t at the VMAs – the Rams were playing the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver,...

Eve Irvine is pleased to welcome Stephanie Hoffmann, Project Coordinator for Butembo, North Kivu, Doctors Without Borders. The Ebola outbreak is hitting a region already ravaged by decades of armed conflict, insecurity, and an overwhelmed health system. As the epidemic's epicenter shifts from Ituri to North Kivu, the disease is spreading and the transmission is accelerating. In Butembo, a densely populated city of around 2 million, health workers themselves are being placed in an impossible position, often caring for their neighbors and relatives without adequate protective equipment.

For conservationists working around Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, protecting mountain gorillas has stopped being just about what happens inside the forest. Increasingly, the fight to safeguard the species is plying out on community land just outside the park boundary one seedling at a time.
1/5 stars Japanese comedian Naomi Watanabe plays a pop star who travels to the Taiwanese countryside in search of her ancestral home in the horror comedy Oh My Ghost! Oh My God! Marking the directorial debut of indigenous actor Soda Voyu, the film follows an eclectic group of oddball characters as they navigate all manner of supernatural obstacles in the hostile mountains, but fails spectacularly to be either scary or funny. A spiritual sequel to Hidden Treasures in the Mountain (2018), Oh My...
