Plumbing Contractors Brisbane are not all created equally it seems. Here are three things to consider when hiring a local Brisbane Plumber that could save you a small fortune.

Brisbane City, Australia - March 1, 2018 /PressCable/ —
If you are about to call a plumber, one of the most important things that you need to check is that your local plumber is fully licensed against a recognised government body such as the QBCC for Queensland Plumbers.
Having a license to operate as a plumbing contractor not only means that the contractor has the industry standard skills that will allow them to fix the problem, but also means the home owner can also be assured that they have some recourse through government bodies if something goes horribly wrong.
We found that two of the most important things that you need to check in addition to the licence are:
1. Experience
The more experience a contractor has, the more practical his solutions become. If a contractor gets his license for the first time, he is only aware of the things that should be done “by the book”. The more experience he gains, the more practical his solutions will be, since he already knows the best solutions for the problem based on his own experience as a plumber. A quality Plumber in Brisbane won’t just quote the cheapest price in order to get the job, only to have the customer call out another plumber in 6-8 months time to do the job all over again. Leaking Taps are a classic example of this, with the majority of plumbers quoting on cheap weekend-warrior hardware store taps which are commonly known to burst and flood the living room floor a few short years down the track. The price difference in the taps can be large.. but the expense of having to do the job twice, after re-carpeting is far greater.
2. Equipment
If you want to be sure that a plumbing contractor is a real pro, you need to check whether they have the right plumbing equipment.
Brisbane Plumber Priority 1 Plumbing Director David Bowden says professional plumbing equipment is expensive, and all too often plumbers simply don’t reinvest back into their business to ensure they have right equipment for the job when it comes to things like blocked drains. Bowden says It can take more than a decade to acquire all the right gear whilst remaining competitive on pricing along the way, but customers often just go with the absolute cheapest price without realising that the price difference can often reflect the lack of experience and lack of equipment the plumber has at his disposal; causing the plumbing problem to quickly reappear only a few weeks or months down the track. If drains aren’t cleared with the right equipment, it simply means tree roots will reappear, blocking the drains again within a matter of months.
Having been in the business for over 20 years, Priority 1 Plumbing has got the latest drain and sewer technology, including fibre optic diagnostic equipment that lets them see inside drains and sewers, and allows them to pinpoint the problem. “We have 4 cameras able to get inside drains as small as 20mm. We also have the latest high pressure drain jetters, and even no-dig trench-less reline technology” Mr Bowden proudly boasts.
Mr Bowden goes on to mention that with their latest equipment, Priority 1 Plumbing can repair sewer and drain lines underground without digging a trench. “It’s a fantastic innovation that most companies cannot provide due to equipment costs, and it saves your garden, patios and driveway first and foremost. But in addition to that it can save you the cost of having to repair and replace your landscaping and driveway too. As a further benefit we are often able to save lines that other companies have to replace” Bowden continues.
Another example given is when it comes to leaks. Leak detection equipment on certain jobs is essential, but, Mr. Bowden stresses, the equipment doesn’t come cheap, and ripping out sections of walls to find the leak can actually be more expensive for the owner who thinks he is actually saving money by hiring the cheapest guy after a ring-around, but who may not have the right equipment. That often ends up costing the customer far more. “Always go with an experienced licensed professional, even if it does mean paying a bit more. It often saves time and money for the customer in the long run” Mr Bowden is quoted as saying.
