Also, the page has been shared 1,200 times on social media, with over 271 people donating to the cause. Some people’s donation have been $15, while others have been as high as $1,000. Social Media Lynx, who believe in supporting worthwhile local causes, wanted to do more for the Casen Whitehead funding page aptly named ‘Casen’s Crusaders’.
All proceeds from the page will benefit Casen and his family, paying for medical expenses, and other necessary care and treatment. Consequently, any amount no matter how small will make a difference to the cause.
For those who don’t know, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is a childhood cancer that occurs when bone marrow develops DNA errors. Treatment typically includes chemotherapy, steroids, radiation therapy, and bone marrow and stem cell transplants, all, of which, are costly.
Recovery rates are also high – up to 90 percent – if the leukemia is caught early, as in Casen’s case. Consequently, Social Media Lynx are strong supporters of local causes, such as Casen’s and businesses.
