Las Vegas, Nevada May 24, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - "Together To Help" Mobilizes Las Vegas Donations for Ukrainians Affected by War
Together To Help announced today that there is a great need to help the Ukrainian refugees and the civilians who cannot afford to leave Ukraine.
Together to Help provides clothing, food, health, and education for impoverished children
in Las Vegas and Romania, reducing poverty and improving living conditions and education for the most underprivileged children.
"We are concerned about Ukrainians who couldn't leave Ukraine," says Iuliana Popescu-Hatch, CEO of Together To Help. "While many are focused on helping refugees, we are focused on the most in need Ukrainians, the poor civilians who couldn't afford a passport or money to travel outside of the country."
The northern part of Romania receives many refugees who do not have the financial ability to travel to Western Europe and who urgently need help. TTH focuses on the most troubled, destitute, hungry, and horrified Ukrainians who failed to leave the country. Due to the war, the shopping stores in Ukraine have empty shelves and gasoline is nowhere to be found. A Romanian priest, Fr D has decided to take a risk and cross the border into Ukraine to bring food, hygiene products, and medical products. This was made possible by the collaboration with the mayor of Chernivtsi in Ukraine and the Banceni monastery where more than 400 orphan and disabled children live. The convoy of trucks full of aid for those in Ukraine seems to be a temporary help. According to Father D, "What do they need? Everything is needed!" That's why Fr. D will go every week with humanitarian help. Total expenses estimated for three months are $75,000. Any small donation will go directly to the Ukrainians left on the territory of Ukraine, more precisely to Chernivtsi and to the orphans from the Banceni monastery in Ukraine. There is no better deed than to help those who suffer from war!

Over a quarter of men across the UK are hesitant to discuss their mental health with family or friends, fearing that their loved ones won’t be able to support them. One in five men also hide away from these key conversations, with a third (35 per cent) trying and failing to start a conversation for fear of not knowing how or when to approach the topic. The findings come from the latest research from VisitGuernsey* – the Channel Island that welcomes more than 150,000 visitors from the UK a year, famous for its natural spaces, slower way of living and well-being focussed lifestyle – who have identified that talking about mental health can be daunting, and for many, the fear of burdening family and friends remains a significant barrier to seeking help.
It is almost impossible not to remark on the view from Rebecca Chan’s one-bedroom, one-study, two-bathroom flat in Hong Kong’s Mid-Levels. Directly opposite the entrance to her 1,300 sq ft (120 square metre) home are French doors that lead onto a balcony and frame a lush vista of what feels like at least 50 shades of green. Architect Liz Lau Win-wa was so captivated by the nature on Chan’s doorstep that she used it as the starting point for the design concept after being commissioned to revamp...

[The content of this article has been produced by our advertising partner.] There are certain Hong Kong foods that can transport you across the city in a mouthful. Satay beef noodles bring back the clatter and steam of a cha chaan teng. Cuttlefish balls recall the neighbourhood Chiu Chow noodle shop. Salt-and-pepperseafood belongs to evenings at a dai pai dong, while put chai ko can send an older generation straight back to childhood. These are foods remembered as much for where and when they...

Now, let's visit Haikou and Sanya – at the northern and southern ends of China's Hainan Island – to see how a clock tower has witnessed the passage of time and how a statue has welcomed visitors from all over.
