With this announcement, the company emphasizes the benefits of adding nature studies to a homeschool curriculum. In addition to offering broad opportunities for hands-on interdisciplinary learning, covering biology, ecology, zoology, and more, interaction with nature positively impacts physical and mental health. In a survey of over 600 children aged 13-18 conducted by The Nature Conservancy in the USA, 90% reported that being outdoors left them feeling “less stressed”.
Running Wild Explorers’ program is divided into seasonal modules. During each month, children will learn a new nature subject and a new survival skill. With the addition of survival skills to its nature study curriculum, the company aims to help children develop a deeper connection with the natural world, feel confident in unexpected situations, and be more resilient and physically fit.
Games and experiments ensure that children practice the skills they have learned; and the lessons are illustrated with interesting facts and jokes, keeping young learners engaged. The curriculum also includes various creative assignments, such as journaling, photography, and crafts, fostering curiosity and a love of nature.
In addition to 100 pages of lesson materials, participants get access to videos, websites, and other interactive resources specific to the topic of the lesson. Children are also awarded buttons for each survival skill learned, which improves motivation and learning outcomes.
The company encourages parents to download a complimentary lesson to find out more about the structure of the course. The lesson is available at https://runningwildexplorers.com/complimentary-lesson
“Running Wild Explorers has been an amazing investment of time for my family,” said a satisfied client. “The organized schedules keep us right on track, and make the outside activities intentional and meaningful. But honestly, the extra facts and jokes sprinkled in are my kids’ favorites.”

Holding on to a newspaper cutting for years reminded Sarah and Jeff Lee of whom to contact when the time came to renovate their 3,100 sq ft (288 square metre) 1980s Repulse Bay duplex. Several years ago, designer Peggy Bels answered that call. The couple, who have lived there for two-plus decades, told Bels they admired her work. They described their home as a place where conversation-fuelled dinner parties stretch well into the night and house guests are frequent. How could Bels improve...

Clayface review: DC spin-off delivers a grisly, vengeance-fuelled body-horror thriller
3.5/5 stars From Venom and Morbius to Birds of Prey and The New Mutants, elevating side characters to centre stage in Marvel and DC comic-book adaptations rarely takes flight. Clayface, however, is an exception. Set in the Gotham underworld, the new film features no sign – or even mention – of Batman, but no matter. A grisly but delicious tale of Hollywood excess, this DC thriller is part crime, part horror and certainly not one for the squeamish. Tom Rhys Harries (Suspicion) stars as Matt...
